Upgrading to Verizon FiOS

Mate! I appreciate your FIOS install blog, but it took 5:11 or 5:19 to find out if it was faster .... Maybe I'm too much of a bottom line guy, but, to be frank and with all due respect, it felt like five hours to find out if it works ... You've helped me with my decision to upgrade to FIOS, but next time a little less of the details would be fine!

I hated Comcast, I Waited for Fios, and Finally I Got it, 4 months now, every months they charge me for channels i never order, if you want to order a channel at night or an a sunday at the last minute, forget it, you have to wait until 8 am monday to saturday, what a nightmare, their costumer service is the worst, i still hate Comcast but Fios is Horrible. I'm not the only one, look it up in the internet, they do have better internet speed, but if a problem happens you will be in Gods hand

@coolfreak1mannan yeah man, i know its a little more expensive. i'm a penny pincher too and i love time warner cable. the only thing is, internet speed is a little slow for 7.0mbps and hd is only available in some channels so i'd pay a little more for better service. if you have vz internet right now, you'd be able to upgrade to fios with an extra discount. i feel like i'm at work!!! lmao

@johnkx yeah man i know. there are a lot of people who want fios but live in places where either they're run by a HOA/apartment complex who has a contact w/someone else or have another provider who runs the entire area. i've had people who have been waiting 5 yrs and are seeing fios trucks everywhere but their home. patience man, from what i've heard, its worth the wait and i'm not just saying that cuz i work for Verizon.

We had Comcast before and got Fios about a month ago, and L O V E it. We have the same Actiontec MI424WR Fios modem.

I have verizon fios and I HATE it I can't wait until my contract is up..... The internet is exactlly the same and I think they sell my information to other companies because I've never had any marketers calling me until I got verizon. I just checked my phone and I have 27 messages ALL from marketers. Their customer service is HORRIBLE someone actually hung up the phone on me after I spent 10 min. talking to a damn machine.

I use an OTA antenna for TV and get a better pic than my friends with FIOS, Comcast or Directv. As far as their company in general they suck donkey nuts.
